Hi @Vandana Kurapati ,

For a feature to appear on the Program Board in a team swim lane, the feature must:

  1. Be tagged with the Program Increment in the Jira Align top filter
  2. Be assigned to the Program in the Jira Align top filter
  3. The feature must have at least one story assigned to a team in the selected program
    • Having a story on the feature is not sufficient for it to appear on the program board in many configurations when connected to Jira. - The story must be associated with a team for the feature to appear on the program board.

If you believe the feature matches conditions 1 and 2, but not 3, then click on "Extra Config" on the Program Board and turn on the "Unassigned Features" toggle.

  • This will result in an extra "Unassigned"swim lane at the bottom of the Program Board. You will probably find the feature there.
  • You can manually assign the feature to one (or more) team's swim lane by clicking on the feature in the Unassigned swim lane and opening the summary/Program Board view, then select the teams.
    • NOTE: You need to make sure stories belonging to those teams are later added to the feature or the feature will remain black on the Program Board for that team.

One other consideration - Make sure you don't have any extra filtering set up under the Extra Config.

Regards,
Peter

Right on target, as usual, @Peter Jessen !

@Peter Jessen  Thank you Peter for your quick response.

Feature that i am trying to find matches all the 3 conditions that you suggested.

PI and program is set at the Jira Align Top filter and the Feature has stories, story in turn associated with team.

In Extra config filters -> all the filters are turned on

G'day @Vandana Kurapati

Can you please check the audit log of the Feature and see if it had its Primary Program changed by the connector or by a user in Jira Align.

The issue might be tied to this bug:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JIRAALIGN-564

Where the Feature is currently assigned to Program A but has Teams on it from Program B.

If this is the case you can move the Feature back to Program B to remove the Program B teams from the Program Board then move the Feature Back to Program A.  We will be providing updates on the fix over the support ticket.

Please let us know if this resolves the issue.

Cheers!
Tim

Thank you Tim.

There is only one program assigned to the Feature but the user moved the Program few days ago from Program A to Program B.

But the Team is associated with Current Program - i.e., Program B.

Hi Vandana,

Thank you for the update.  We believe the team from Program A is cached in the database and would be revealed by moving the Feature back to Program A.  If you check the History on the Program Board by clicking More Actions > History you will be able see this particular Feature's edits by users which were most likely tied to Program A moves.

We will be reaching out with follow-on guidance over the corresponding support ticket to this thread.

Cheers!
Tim
