When you export features to Jira, the "Description" column does not keep the same formatting. Is there a way to ensure that formatting will be kept? When all of the fields run into one long sentence, it's very difficult to read in Excel. Is there a better way to input them into JiraAlign that will help with this? Thanks!
@Shelley Townsend can you add some more detail into what you are trying to do? What are you exporting out of Jira and importing into Jira Align?
As part of the integration guide found here you can set up the description field to retain formatting as part of the Jira to Jira Align integration.

Hi Tom-
Yes, I am attempting to export an excel file from JiraAlign to excel. The reason we do this is because not everyone in our company has access to JiraAlign, so we export all the features so we can share them for prioritization with the business teams. When you export the features, the description column turns into 1 long box and does not retain the formatting with added spaces in JiraAlign. I hope that is more clear-- sorry for the confusion before.

@Shelley Townsend thanks for clarifying. There is currently a bug with exporting to Excel and retaining line breaks and other formatting - JIRAALIGN-3113 that is on the long term backlog with no updates on timing to address.
You may want to look at using Enterprise Insights or the API to pull the information from Jira Align and create custom reports in another tool (like Tableau) that would keep the formatting for visibility.

Thanks for the clarification! I'll work with our Tableau developer to see what we can do in the meantime. Thanks!
