Issue with 'Owner' field on Jira Align Feature

I have a product owner who updated the 'Owner' field for a Jira Align Feature, however the name keeps getting changed back.

When we check the Audit Log on the Jira Align Feature page it shows the Owner field is being changed back By External System. 

We have Jira Align integrated with Jira, which I assume is what's causing it. However not sure why this occurs for some Features but not others.
