Impediments on the ART/Train Board

Hoi,

Would it be possible to show Impediments on the ART/Train board?

When on story level it would be nice to have an explicit view on the feature that the impediment is on (like a flag or alike) it does get red, but there are too many other reason why a feature can get a red bar.

On team level it would be nice to get an additional block with a specific logo (like a dependency has)

Is there something like this?

The ability to visualize impediments from the ART/Train is currently not available in Jira Align however, if you feel it's a must-have, you can raise a suggestion request for JA using the steps below.

1. Go to https://support.atlassian.com/contact/
2. Select What can we help you with? = Product Suggestions
3. Click on the "Go to Product Suggestions" button
4. Click Create and fill out the form with your enhancement request.

If you prefer, you can raise a JA support ticket, and we'll open the suggestion request on your behalf!

Two potential ways to (sorta) accomplish this:

1. Treat Impediments as Dependencies on the role of RTE, SM (or whatever role/name you like)
   1. create an  "External Entity" from the Dependencies Grid 
   2. the ART or Teams create Dependencies against the External Entity
   3. The External Entity will appear as their own row on the bottom of the Program Board
   4. Hovering over the dependency will highlight the blocked work
   5. Has the advantage of also being able to track how much capacity is expended by the External Entity in support of Impediments
2. Create an ART PI Objective to accomplish something similar to the above
   1. One option is to create one for every Impediment
   2. I prefer to create a single PI Objective called something like "Resolve all Impediments in 3 working days" and then active set that as a track goal for the PI. Try to get better each PI.
