Hello Community, I am just starting with Jira products, and wanted to ask what is the difference between Jira align and Atlas. because it seems to me with different introductions, both have same goals.
Hi @Bhanu
Jira Align has wider functionality than just setting goals, while Atlas is focused solely on goals.
Also, Atlassian recently blended Atlas into the new Jira version. If you're leveraging Atlas, it may make sense to sign up for the beta and start with Goals at once.
Another important part is that Jira Align is an expensive enterprise product, while Goals can be used for free.
Alternatively, you can also explore more specialized marketplace apps. For instance, our app is based specifically on OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) goal-setting methodology.
Hope that helps!
Both are for different purpose
Jira Align:
Enterprise agile planning platform
Atlassian Atlas:
Team collaboration and documentation platform

Its a great question: Here's a high level of what they are
Jira Align is used by large Organizations for Programs, Portfolio and Enterprise Planning. It will be helpful for planning regarding the project investments, prioritizing projects, etc..
Atlas is used mostly for Collaboration and Communication about the high level summaries of the project status and goals outside of the immediate team.
