Can Jira Align (cloud) integrate with Jira Work Management (cloud)?

We currently use the Jira Align Cloud to Jira Software Cloud integration.  We have some teams (such as Finance) for which Jira Work Management features (Calendar view, spreadsheet-like in-line update, etc.) are better suited.  Can a company-managed Jira Work Management board be integrated with Jira Align?

Hi Paula,

As of to date, a company-managed Jira Work Management project can be integrated with Jira Align with limitations. The limitation is that a JWM board cannot be integrated with Jira Align, only the project. This results in all work object data flowing across correctly while Jira Align will have limited capabilities to understand the scheduling of those work objects.

Setting up a Jira Align - JWM integration is quite straightforward:

1. Make sure the work of the JWM teams has a team field on it and that team field is populated with data which represents the respective team.
2. Create the respective teams in Jira Align as Kanban teams.
3. Under Jira Align > Administration > Jira Settings > Manage Projects add the respective project.
4. Under Jira Align > Administration > Jira Settings > Manage Projects > Manage Custom Fields map Jira Align teams and team field values.
   
5. Map further integration information as needed (for example in- and outbound state mapping).
