Jira -> github integration. Need to limit pull requests.

Hi,

I am really unfamiliar with Github, but today I was notified that one of our teams needed to disable Jira to Github integration because the process is consuming all of the allowed API request allocation. I was told every minute for every repo in the organization. 

So my question: 

Is there a way to configure the existing Jira -> Github integration to pull Github hourly or 4 times a day or some other threshold that is maintainable. If so can you please provide steps.
