Can't get workflow triggers to work for Github

Janice Lim

So I've taken the following steps to link and test the Github integration.

  1. Linked Github account
  2. Created workflow triggers for a project
  3. Checked the trigger source - Shows the Github account, no errors shown
  4. Tested moving an issue from "Selected for Dev" to "In progress" by creating a Github branch naming it "KEY-123_Feature"

The issue doesn't transition. I'm suspecting 2 causes:

  • For step 1, the linked repos show date of last activity but 0 commit/pr/issues (but no error is thrown)
  • Users on this JIRA project have a different email from their github account. However, for the "Branch Created" trigger, this should be tagged to an ANON user anyway, so it shouldn't matter?

Any advice on resolving this would be greatly appreciated!

More info.

I noticed the Dev panel appears in my tickets, but doesnt hold any information, or even a "Create branch" link. I tried to reset OAuth Settings for Github and got a 524 error.

I tried the workaround mentioned here. But I'm still getting an error saying that github rate limit was exceeded.

Any ideas?
