the best way to use Jira as Gantt Chart

I am new to Jira but have long experience with microsoft project

i am helping nonprofit organization and select Jira for tracking our software implementation project (selection a commercial of the shelf application)

Jira does not do Gantt charts off-the-shelf, as Jira is aimed more at the Agile way of doing things where it's clear Gantt charts are useless (They tell you what you would like to happen, without taking into account any reality.  They're obsolete from the point at which you publish one).

So, you'll need to get an app to add the functions to Jira.  There are several in the marketplace
