Celebrating a year of Community Champions

Community Champions@2x.png

Whether you’re new to the Atlassian online community or if you’ve been hanging out here for awhile, you’ve likely seen the “Community Champion” badge next to people’s names in a variety of threads. As we reflect on a full year of camaraderie, support and shared expertise, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the profound impact this special group of humans has had on the community at large.

Champions are our top influencers — they are knowledgeable about Atlassian products, and eager to share their experiences and enthusiasm and connect with others. They are, in many ways, an extension of the Atlassian organization — they embody our company values and devote a healthy amount of their time and energy to writing articles that encourage thoughtful discussion, troubleshooting with users, providing feedback to myriad product teams, and, in general, just helping to make the community a more magical place.

In return, they enjoy fame and glory, and we extend access to Champion-only spaces (including Stride!), offer discounts to Summit and free vouchers for certification exams, and provide exclusive swag.

To learn more about them as individuals, be sure to check out our Showcase series, in which we dive into Micky’s journey from France to Montreal, Devon’s extensive fountain pen collection, Fadoua’s Taekwondo chops and much more.

I want to sincerely thank the folks in the Champion family for bringing so much of themselves to our community — we certainly could not do what we do without you.

Here’s to many more years of building awesome things together!
