Hello everyone, my name is Brant Schroeder. I am connecting with the the enterprise group as we are evaluating our next move on the Atlassian platform. The company I am at has used Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence for over 7 years and will be moving to DC or Cloud in the near future.
Hey @Brant Schroeder ! Very happy to see you in the enterprise group! Thanks for all your contributions to the Community.
Hi all,
Not an enterprise member yet (and may never need to be) but just looking to learn more about the offering and community.

Hi everyone! π I'm Ahmet and I work as a Product marketing manager at Rewind.
Rewind is a cloud data backups and recovery solution provider for widely used SaaS platforms including GitHub and Jira. Rewind recently became an Atlassian Partner and introduced Rewind Backups for Jira app on Atlassian Marketplace.
I'm excited to be a part of this amazing community!
Ahmet
@Ahmet Ozcelik - welcome to the group Ahmet! Invite your teammates here too!
It's quite timely that you're here - especially after the Atlassian Cloud outage a few months ago π
Thanks so much Dave! The latest cloud outage was really unfortunate but hopefully increased the awareness of the community on the need to have a backup / disaster recovery solution in place.
Of course - I'm tagging our product manager here: @Danny Grenzowski _Rewind_He is our subject matter expert in our Jira Cloud backup / recovery solution.
Hi everyone I'm Craig from Canada. I've been doing build and release management for 31 years now. I've been working with Atlassian for 17 of those years. I hope to keep my learning on a forward track and joining this group is part of it.
@Craig Nodwell - welcome Craig, glad to have you here! π
Welcome to the group, Craig!
Hope you have a great learning & sharing experience here!
Hi everyone,
I work at CSAA Insurance Group (AAA Insurance) and we have Jira fully implemented into our environment and I use it daily. I have been in this community for a while, but just found this group! I look forward to being part of it!
@Summer Hogan - whoa, how did I miss your intro!
Here's an official welcome (in writing) to the Enterprise group!
Would love to hear how you manage Jira at scale - do you have a change advisory board? Do you have lunch-and-learns? How do you make Jira part of CSAA's DNA?
Howdy,
My name is Luis, I'm a Technical Architect for Praecipio Consulting, an Atlassian Platinum Solutions Partner. I've worked with Atlassian Products since about 2012 and have silently stalked most of the Atlassian Community boards. I've recently decided to try to put forth some effort to be more active. Most of what I handle these days are Cloud Migrations, but since my skills were forged in the "hey we need an admin, you're an admin now" method, I'm a bit of a Jack of all trades when it comes to Atlassian. Happy to be here, looking forward to it!
@Luis Machado - howdy Luis! π
Glad to have another Praecipio teammate here!
Looking forward to hearing about your lessons learned in this group - I know that Partners run into all sorts of creative challenges in our line of work, and even more creative solutions. π
My Name is Vikram
Working as Product Owner and Technical Support for jira, confluence and bitbucket DC for my organization, I am using Atlassian products since 8 years.
I do upgradations, bug fixes etc., and now presently working with Migrations could to DC and cloud to cloud.

Welcome @vikram ! Great to e-meet you!
Just curious to know - What tools are you using for Jira Cloud to Cloud migration? Atlassian's Jira Cloud to Cloud migration tool or something else (like using a temporary Jira Server/DC instance between source Cloud and destination Cloud instance)?
@Taranjeet Singh thank you, same to meet you, we tried jira cloud migration tool but there were lot of issues, even configuration management tool also had lot issues,
So we are doing Manually
But we develop few python scripts which will migrate epics, users, rest we take .csv file and do modification according to target workflow and import.
Our requirement of migration is quite different from traditional migration as we have 4 instances of Jira with different and customized workflows, now we want to maintain only one instance so migrating them to one instance.
Vikram P
Hey everyone, I am new to the group and am intrigued to see how others are leveraging Jira and what challenges you all are overcoming. I love looking outside my industry to find new cutting-edge techniques/process/solutions I can bring to my industry to make it better.
@Jonathan V_ - what's your industry? Always curious to see who's using Jira where. π
Welcome to the group, and welcome to the conversation! π
Thanks @Dave Liao
I am in the financial services industry. I specifically work for a broker/dealer, which also has a foreign banking arm.
Hi @Dave Liao I joined this group because I'm interested in the features and updates of Enterprise.
That makes the two of us! I'm actually interested in getting my hands on the Analytics features in Jira Cloud Enterprise.
Welcome to the group!
Hi @Dave Liao,
Like @Dave Mathijs I work as a senior consultant for Platinum Solutions Partner ACA Group, engaging a lot with customers in a digital or agile transformation. I engage most with software and IT teams, but as companies today are so much IT-driven, best practices and tools scale across the entire enterprise to break down siloes, become increasingly effective and capable to adapt to change.
I landed in this group thanks to the clean oceans challenge that happened this week. Having a few years of online community activity under my belt, I know this is a great place to connect with real challengers (enterprise) users are having today, tomorrow and the day after. I am sure checking in here every now and then will broaden my perspective of challenges, what views the amazing peers in this ecosystem may have on them and just grow together, as a team.
@Walter Buggenhout - π I'm WAVE-ing hello to you! π
Good to see a fellow Community Leader in the Enterprise group!
If there are any burning questions you have for the group, ask a Question or maybe start a Discussion. π
If you want to share any knowledge, feel free to make an Article here! I'm sure you have some ideas... I have some that are cooking, but I haven't had time to serve any articles up here. π
Thanks for the warm welcome, @Dave Liao!
No burning questions yet, but definitely some ideas for articles or discussion for sure. The custom domains discussion seems to be a hot potato for now. Coming from a country where french fries are more or less the national dish, I think I'd let that one have its time and place first ...
Hello everyone, I am happy to be a part of this group. I am a Service Manager managing Atlassian Stack among other solutions and services in a large international organization, Looking forward to opportunities for new ideas, learning and contributing as well.
A belated welcome @Markku Miettunen ! How did you find this group? (This is the right place for you!)
I'm Sam and just getting started in the big business world. Before this, I mainly helped smaller companies set up and connect their computer systems in the cloud. This included things like handling online payments. My main goal was to help make their life better and 'futureproof' them by switching to cloud technology. Now, I'm learning to take on the more complex world of big enterprises. Thanks.
@Sam Thing - how do we deliver the value weβve delivered for smaller organizations, but at scale?
Looking forward to learning from one another!
"If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together" - African proverb. To bring the same value gave to smaller companies to larger enterprises, we can focus on:
Neat, I'm guessing you also work for a systems integrator? Lots of us on here!
Hello Enterprise guys! My name is Jordi and I'm a Operator It in Technology focused on help customers and resolve incidences in computers generally I like you get the most of your products, ensuring you're up to date on all the new features, and even ensuring that you're on the right plan.
π Welcome @Jordi Aguera Martinez !
How did you hear about this group?
What Atlassian products are you using?
A bit late to the party, just stumbled across this thread.
I mainly work with Enterprise clients, so I share all the woes, pains, joys, and opportunities of working with large organizations.
@Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM - the more ReleaseTEAMmates here, the better! πͺ Welcome! π
Hi, I'm David, a Senior Business Analyst working in Health Care in Canada. Last weekend we successfully completed our Cloud Migration from Jira/Confluence Server to Jira/Confluence Cloud Enterprise. 9,000+ users and 700k+ issues, 3TB of Confluence data.
Still working through the various post-migration hiccups.
Making use of various recent features:
We're the gorilla within our company, but not the first mover. Multiple other smaller groups were earlier adopters of the Cloud. So we're also consolidating with 4 other existing Organizations in the Cloud (accounts for about another 3,000 users). Dealing with the governance nightmare that entails.
In parallel with those actions we'll be kicking off a second migration activity to migrate separate Server instances of Jira, JSM and Confluence to the Cloud, although perhaps not in their entirety as they contain additional more sensitive content that needs to go through additional Privacy and Security assessments than our previous migration. This will add about another 1,000 users and 1,000 agents. Expectation is we'll also move to JSM Cloud Enterprise.
Other pain points:
Been a member for a while, but with the Cloud migration finally implemented, feels like time to actually participate and dig deeper. Before it was more aspirational.
Welcome!!!
Hey David, congrats on completing such a massive migration from Server to Cloud! Thatβs no small feat, especially with the scale youβre dealing with. Iβm with Appfire, an app vendor, and weβre constantly working to smooth these transitions and address gaps between Server and Cloud functionality. If any of our apps are contributing to your pain points, Iβd love to hear your feedback. Feel free to ping me if you ever want to chat through those challenges or explore potential solutions. Best of luck with the next phase of your migration!
@Gorka Puente _Appfire_ none of the Appfire apps are contributing to our problems as far as I know at this point. Cloud architecture which prevents the Power Suite from having feature parity in the Cloud, but that's more of an Atlassian choice than an Appfire one.
lack of parity between Cloud and Server
Try out Priority Schemes in Jira Cloud? I was involved in the early review of the feature (the EAP) and it felt like a bolt-on "solution".
I have faith that certain features will reach parity between Cloud and Data Center - while we have Data Center - in both directions. There are value add features in DC that somehow still aren't in Cloud. π€¦
Hi everyone! π
I've been working with Atlassian products, primarily in the cloud, for about five years now. In my current role, I work with mid-sized companies that are planning to scale into enterprise-level organizations, and I'm keen to gather insights from this group on how best to navigate that transition. I'm especially interested in understanding how large companies approach issues like governance, compliance, and tool adoption across large teams. π
Looking forward to learning from the community and contributing where I can!
Welcome @Tomislav Tobijas _Koios_ - we work in an interesting problem space, right?
Scaling tool usage for a large population is always a challenge. Coupled with that, what is the organizational maturity of the company and its teams?
Hmm, this would be an interesting article to write on Enterprise... π€
Looking forward to learning from each other!
