HTML used in Description field makes the field un-editable

Hi Team,

Customer have a problem with editing of "Description" content in Visual mode when previously used HTML for table border color: |borderColor=blue.

The Description can be edited in Text mode only.

The Description can be edited when using hexadecimal code instead of HTML.

Is this Bug or standard jira behaviour and HTML should not be used?

I have this problem too, on JIRA Server 8.1.2

I narrowed my problem down to having this in the description field:

{panel:bgColor=lightblue}

When I changed this to

{panel:bgColor=#ADD8E6}

I could then save my changes in visual mode.
