Bamboo Data Center 9.2 LTS is now available

Hello, Data Center Community!

We know that many of you have eagerly awaited the first Bamboo Data Center Long Term Support (LTS) release. We’re excited to announce that Bamboo 9.2 for Server and Data Center is now live as our first LTS release for Bamboo!

Upgrading to a Long Term Support release provides you with continued access to critical security, stability, data integrity, and performance fixes for the two-year support window before this version reaches its end of life.

In addition to the benefits of an LTS release, Bamboo 9.2 includes a variety of features providing security and performance improvements designed to help you work more efficiently. Those features include, but aren’t limited to:

Enhanced security

• Platform 6 in Bamboo 9.0 upgrades our stack of third-party dependencies and resolves technical debts

• OAuth2 support for reliable security

• Upgrade to Embedded Crowd 5.0 for bug and security fixes, as well as UI enhancements.

Optimized performance and reliability

• Updated webhooks handling for enhanced Bitbucket Cloud integration and improved reliability for Bamboo thanks to reduced resource utilization

• Improved performance gathering deployments data

• New package threshold option for the Bamboo server and SFTP artifact handlers, designed to prevent artifacts with many files from causing performance bottlenecks.

• SFTP artifact handler to reduce resource usage on the Bamboo server by delegating all heavy lifting to the remote server

Improved developer productivity

• Support for pull requests from GitHub forked repositories (Data Center)

• New YAML Specs validator

• New Audit Log content search

Modernized look and feel

• Upgrade to AUI 9

• REST API documentation migrated to Swagger

Additionally, this LTS release enables your teams to take advantage of all the features we've released since Bamboo 8.0. Note that all of these features are only available for Data Center.
