How to purge old user sessions in Crowd?

I've noticed that in 'User Sessions' all users have multiple entries, some are several month old.

Does this mean the session never expired?

How can I purge all old sessions?

Answer accepted

The problem was caused by using one Crowd Application with two actual applications (shared). So creating one application in Crowd per actual application resolved the issue.
