Atlassian crowd integration as auth provider within apache http server - not working on RHEL7/Ap 2.4

is running on totally outdated infrastructure -> and we could not make it work on RHEL7 / Apache 2.4 

When will this be updated .. it's very critical for us.

The link in your question is broken so I think the doc I linked is the updated replacement.
