anagha.m September 30, 2019

Hi,

I am installing Confluence (trial) and I have selected the wrong option. Also I have used the different email ID.

So I want to uninstall it. I am at the step of installing database.

Please help.

Thanks in advance

@anagha.mas per details provided by you and to add to @Deepanshu Natani  answer,

  • What wrong option you have selected other than email?
  • Email ID can always be changed from admin screen after installation, so don't worry about that.

it asks for 2 option one is data center and other one.  Is there is way I can change it.

@anagha.mYes you can do that. Here is pointer to that - https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/revert-to-standalone-instance-from-accidental-confluence-data-center-migration-968667261.html

Few other points,

  • Behavior of Confluence Data Center is similar to Server, if you are installing on single node.
    • So, if your purpose just to try, you can proceed to try with Data Center for 1 month. And later install Server version in production.
  • Both Server and Data Center version come with one month trial.

Hi @anagha.m

In order to uninstall Confluence you can follow these basic steps:

  • Remove the directory that Confluence needs to run (the install directory),
  • delete the directory where Confluence stores its data (the home directory),
  • and delete/drop the database (if you have created one for Confluence).
