Hello Team,
User can login to jira with same credentials username/password
but can not login to confluence
I have reset the password on jira too still KO on confluence
Jira login is OK
confluence login is KO
We are using using same active directory in both apps
this failure is just for one user
others can login properly to the both apps with same creds
thanks!
Hi @Pavan as mentioned if your users are authenticated via AD then you have to change the password there and not in Jira. What application is managing the Confluence access? AD or Jira? If Jira make sure they are in the confluence_users group.
Hi @Craig Nodwell
we are using **jira internal directory on jira ** and **confluence Internal directory and jira server directory on conf**

Hi @Pavan
If you use AD, you should reset the PW in AD for that user.
Otherwise check the Confluence logs on what happens when the user tries to log on.

Hello @Marc Koppelaar
yes you are right
I have reset the password of the user in jira manually
user management >> search for the user >> Actions >> set password
then i logged into both the apps with same creds and it worked
after that i asked user to reset the password with the reset link in jira , user just confirmed that he can access jira and confluence with new credentials
but still i don't get what happened and why it worked this way
could you please explain
thanks!
