keep variables when editing a page

Is there a way to keep variables when editing a page?

We have a template that acts as a form, which works as expected. However, when the template is submitted and a new page is created, the variables are gone and editing is down to the user to ensure that standards are followed.

Is there anyway to make the variables appear when using the edit function?

Hi Matiss,

unfortunately templates in Confluence can only create new pages, so it's impossible to use the variables after a page is created.
