is it possible to uncheck "notify watchers" in confluence by default

We are using Confluence server 7.13.

Every time a user edits a page, the checkbox "notify watchers" is checked.

Is it possible to set the default for this checkbox on unchecked ?

Hi @Erik Mathijs 👋

I've taken a quick look and this question popped in Atlassian's support articles, I'd recommend reading their article on 'How to uncheck 'Notify watchers' check box on Confluence editor by default'. Please note this does refer to an older version of Confluence but hopefully will lead you to the right answers.

I hope this helps but if you have any other questions just ask away 😃

All the best,

Thanks Laura for reaching me out a working solution.

All the best,
