how to remove page break for child pages

We have pulled the trigger and upgrade to 6.14 and now have the new PDF formatting that was applied in 6.13. 

We have ironed out the other issues but one of the remaining issues is how now every h1 heading will create a new page in the PDF. 

Is there a method using the PDF stylesheet to remove this setting for child pages?

No, I haven't, the team here haven't provided a solution, the answer they gave me is create the ticket and get people to upvote it so that the dev team will eventually look at it.
