how to disable confluence upgrade message to users when they login for the first time

Lakshman February 18, 2020

Hi Team,

We have recently upgraded our QA environment from confluence 6.1.2 to 7.1.2 version. We did not find any issues.

But we need to disable the welcome message that can be sent to all users whenever they login into confluence a new version first time. i.e we don't want to send the welcome message to all end-users.

Welcome msg:

Thanks,

Lakshman

I think this will point you in the correct path: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Confluence-upgrade-disable-user-notification/qaq-p/936006

You will need to add CATALINA_OPTS=-Datlassian.notifications.disabled=true %CATALINA_OPTS% to the \Confluence\bin\setenv.bat file
