how many page version in history can be stored?

as the title,

just wondering how many page version can be stored in confluence.

and how long it lasts.

it lasts until i delete them?

and any ways to delete certain version?

any ideas? pleases.

We have another outstanding feature request that hints ant the answer to this question.

Currently there is no limit to the number of page versions that can be stored in Confluence. This feature seeks to impose a configurable limit to this number. I have added this post to the ticket to furhter increase it's visibility.

Hi Jay

Basically as explained in this feature request report: CONF-996 where you are allow to remove page version history for Space Administrators is already being included in Confluence 5.

In Confluence 5, it includes the following features:

Confluence 5.0 will include the facility to remove individual historical versions of pages and blogs.

Please have a read on this documentation: Page History and Page Comparison Views where you can choose to delete selected page version.
