how do i import old confluence html

devpcicde October 14, 2015

Ok. I am evaluating this Cloud-based Confluence to replace our existing installed Confluence.

I have enabled the Wiki Markup Plugin.

What steps to I have to take within the document editor to allow me to copy a page of HTML from the old interface and paste it into the new document. Macros have been mentioned, but I don't see an interface in the document editor once a start a new document in a Space using the Create button. In fact, all of the formatting controls are disabled. What's going on?

Hi Tom,

The pages in Confluence are not in HTML format by default. Can yon confirm if the pages you want to import are indeed in HTML format instead of the standard one?

Also we do recommend you to follow this process to migrate content from the server instance to Cloud: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/ConfCloud/Migrate+from+Confluence+Server+to+Cloud

I hope it helps,

Eduardo
