Hi Sweta,
Can you confirm your Confluence version for this issue so I can look into it for you?

Shannon
Thanks

Hi Sweta,
I had a look myself, and there's a link in order to configure the service:
Once I click it, it takes me to this page:
CONFLUENCE-URL/admin/plugins/impresence2/jabber/config.action
Here you can enter the details of your Jabber server.
Can you let me know if you were having trouble setting that up? A reminder that you will need to be an administrator to configure this.
Regards,
Shannon

Hello,
In my case, I'm the Confluence Administrator.
I configured the IM Presence Plugin, and the result when I use the macro :
There was a problem logging into the Jabber (XMPP) service. Please check the configured credentials for the dummy account.
In the "atlassian-confluence.log" file :

blablabla hundreds of error lines....
What is SASL authentication ?
Do anybody have an idea how can I fix this ?
Thanks

Well, it looks like I was using an admin account (as the Jabber dummy account) to login the addon. But we need an "End user" account.
So I asked the Jabber team to create a fake "End user" account, now I'm able to see presence for some people, not everybody... will dig the log later.
