cannot edit my own pages

When I am trying to create/edit a new page, I get an error message in the lower-right corner telling me it cannot connect to the [edit] server with the message: Can't Save Changes"

There's the following error in the console:

{type: "unauthorized-access", message: "Not authorized to access this resource."}
message: "Not authorized to access this resource."
type: "unauthorized-access"

My account has been elevated to admin status - yet I am still getting this error on the page I created.

I can still edit other pages (this link is off the root page) but any new page I create, I get the can't edit error.

This error has persisted now for a couple days.
