With admin rights, why can't I view some spaces and edit the permission in Confluence?

I am in the administrator group in Confluence, but there are still spaces that I cannot view or edit the permission. How to get around to this? Thank you!

It is possible that the space or page has had the confluence administrators group removed from it.

Confluence administrators are a very different animal fron System Administrators.

To circumvent this you will have to:

1) Recover the system adminstrator account and use it to grant privs to your users.

2) As the people that are permitted on those pages/spaces to grant you privileges.

the confluence administrators group is for all intents an purposes just another group. It can have permissions granted to and removed from it on a space by space basis.
