We are considering using Atlassian Intelligence (AI). We have access to the beta version. However, we have data privacy concerns. Does Atlassian share data with OpenAI or any other third party when the Atlassian Intelligence features are used? If yes, what data is shared and how long are they stored? Does Atlassian Intelligence comply with the Data Residency settings we have specified for our Confluence Cloud instance (we have specified Data Residency to EU only)?
Thanks, Steffen. That is good news, but without an official statement from Atlassian it does not reallyt help us.
We cannot use this feature without some sort of assurance from Atlassian.
there has been a similar discussion already in the trust & security group.
According to this discussion and I quote Andreas Springer here:
... Atlassian itself that they have a special agreement in place with OpenAI that forbids them to use any data that is being submitted for training purposes or sharing it with anyone.
That is why there will be a separate EULA for users to sign before they start using Atlassian Intelligence. The first time in Atlassian history that there is a separate agreement for a new feature.
I hope this answers your question. But I couldn't find anything official from Atlassian, maybe someone else has a resource to share.
Cheers,
Steffen
