The Excerpt macro is used to mark a part of a page's content for re-use. Defining an excerpt enables other macros, such as the Excerpt Include and Blog Posts macros, to display the marked content elsewhere. And in the other hand the Excerpt Include macro is used to display 'excerpted' (that is, a segment of) content from one page in another.

Thanks Fernando, I appreciate the definition. I guess I wasn't too clear. I am actually trying to place the exerpt codes in my template so I would need the mark up language of those macros. Hope this makes sense.
