Why the '[' macro was removed in the new editor?

Pedro Braga April 7, 2020

In the new editor, how can I create a link to a new page on the fly, as I use to do (a lot) in the old editor?

--

In other works, I want to be able to do the following in the new editor:

In the old editor: I just write '[' and start writing the name. If it is a new name, I can intermediately select "Insert link to create page"

Hi @Pedro Braga,

as far as I understand you are talking about the "Link to placeholder (undefined page)" feature? As you can see on the Confluence Cloud Editor Roadmap this is not yet implemented in the new editor, but is in the short term backlog and will probably be available soon:

Cheers,

Thank you. This is exactly what I meant.

I'm glad to know that this feature is on the roadmap :)

@Pedro Braga

I happen to know who on the Confluence team is working on this feature. I'd DM you their contact info, but I guess I can't do that on here.

My email is mreiner@k15t.com. Send me an email and I'll pass it your way.
