Why is my Avatar and Personal Space not shown on the Home tab/dashboard?

I'm supposed to be able to jump to my personal space from Home. I don't have my profile card at all- instead 'Overview' is the first item. What is causing this, and how can I fix this?

The KB you linked to is showing the old Home in Confluence. It recently changed and was announced in this article. Your personal space should be visible under spaces and you can also get to it if you click on your avatar up in the right-hand corner and select Personal Space.

Pity they removed the personal space, but at least I know what's going on.
