Why i can't make the 'Table of Contents'

I have a question about inserting the 'Table of Contents' macro in the document I made.
Why would the preview screen be empty if I set up the macro?

The issue that you are facing is related to a bug where the Table of contents is not being rendered in preview mode:

• Using page preview does not render Table of Contents macro
