Why can't I have parentheses in my file name when I edit in office?

We are using the Companion app for Edit in office after the upgrade.
Since using this, if the file name contains parentheses, it will not be edits.
Previously, files could be modified normally, even if parentheses were included in the file name.
Why has this changed?
We've been told by users that we're downgrading after...
We need a good cause to deliver to them.

Thank you for contacting us about this.  I have seen other users with the same issue, and it has been reported in the following bug:

• CONFSERVER-57769 Editing a document that has characters in the document's name fails when using the Companion App.

Initially, the issue was with ampersands, but has occurred also with parentheses.
