When I try to export a page to a pdf document format, I get an error that says session has expired even though the session is active. What is happening?

Try with logging off and logging in. If it doesn't work clear the browser cache and start the incognito mode. This should only be a temporary issue.

I am facing the same issue, good thing that you have reported it. Give it an hour or less. I will tag Atlassian here for this issue.
If it doesn't gets fixed within some time, raise a support for Atlassian for this issue.
