When I share a space, do user get notify automatically?

If I share a space and then I create/make changes to child pages under that space. Do the user get notify automatically?

Answer accepted

Nope, the user need to mark hinself/herself as a watcher to get the notifications, sharing the space will only send the user a notification email :).
