What's the best way to transfer content between two different instances of Confluence?

Is there portable export / import format.   I will probably use export to Word and then import the document on the other site.   But I'm sure that will result in a loss of functionality.

What kind of content are you interested in moving?

The best way is of course to use our XML exports:

• Restoring a space
• Migrating Confluence between servers

If you only want to migrate a single page, copying/pasting the entire page from Editor mode would probably work best. If you export a single page to Word and import it again you may lose some functionality, such as macros and certain formatting.
