What apps are available for advanced forum capabilities?

I'm an Atlassian partner working with a large client whose organization utilizes Confluence. They're looking for a tool (preferably a Confluence app) that functions somewhat similarly to Questions for Confluence with the following added capability:

  • Ability to ask publicly visible questions in a forum-type setting.
  • A distinction between "customer" (the person asking) and the team answering the questions.
  • The ability to "certify" answers as being the right answer (not the accepted answer or up-voted answer.

The client does not want to utilize Jira Service Desk.

Does anyone have any good ideas or something that get's close to this? It's functionality that is similar to even the Atlassian Community -- public questions with the Atlassian Team / User distinction.

I appreciate any tips or direction.

Heh, Atlassian Community used to be based on Questions for Confluence.

Anyway, I would take a look at the first handful of results on https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?product=confluence&query=forums (Obviously, I work for one of the vendors caught by that search, but I would say I've seen a couple of the others deployed to great effect in places)
