Using colon in labels

Trent Hewitt May 11, 2022

Hello,

I'm trying to add the label application::administrative but I am getting an error message when creating:

GraphQL error: com.atlassian.confluence.api.service.exceptions.BadRequestException: Could not add labels to content with id ContentId{id=109215825}

I suspect it has to do with the colon but don't see any guidance around what characters can be used in labels. The purpose is to attempt to have a keypair for each tag.

that is not an allowed character. If you must connect you can use and _ character.

is there a list of what characters are banned in labels?

https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/symbols-emoticons-and-special-characters-136870.html   Here is the list of characters-- in fields; here is link to labels https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/add-remove-and-search-for-labels-136419.html  Only two characters are accepted in labels and - (dash) or underscore _
