Using Confluence for daily BLOGS

jovan savin December 25, 2019

Created Space/Page for Daily Blogs: Would like to know the Bloging limitations?

Would have at least 50 entries per day only adding as the entries would be used for historical reference the entry would include number of lines plus screen prints possibly comment lines as well that would have screen shots as well.

How many years can we continue to keep adding the entries to the same page?

At this point we have  5 years of entries and we have experienced following issues:-Very slow response, -sporadic ABENDs, -During the edit lines jumping up and down. Is this due to space usage?

Would creating new Space/Page and achieving the old Space/Page help resolve this issue?

Confluence version 5.7.4  Build 5788

Hi,

why are you using the same page? Each blog entry in Confluence is a page on it's own. There is no time constrain.

Putting all these entries (w. screenshots) on ONE page will lead into problems on the client side (browser).

Hint: Your Confluence version is not supported anymore, so my answer might not reflect the situation of your Confluence server.

Thank You JP.

Each entry is a post to the BLOG on same page we have used this with other Confluence releases and it worked until recently where we experienced sporadic ABENDS and some odd behaviour on Confluence part. I think it is due to space usage. WIll try creating new Space/Page and start again. You are correct we are on the old Confluence version hoping company will go with the upgrade and update to the most current level soon.
