Could you provide a screenshot of the error message you get?
There is also a view different threads in the community about similar problems, maybe one of them provides a solution?

We are exactly in the same situation as the first case you gave.
We are facing this bug CONFSERVER-82741 : the macro code is displayed as is, it is not substituted with the date.
I will look at migrating from 7.19.7 to 7.19.9.
