Use mention with the api and wiki representation

Hello,

Before the migration to the cloud and using the wiki markup language it was easy to generate user mentions in confluence pages using the API.

I did it in the past by following this documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-wiki-markup-251003035.html

and simply used [~username]

It seems to not be working anymore. If anyone made it work with the wiki representation I would appreciate any pointer!

I made it work using the storage representation but I would love to avoid rewriting all my template (to be in the storage format) to just be able to use mention.
