Usage examples for Content Formatting Macros on Confluence Cloud

William Rojas (Black Diamond) September 2, 2015

Hello:

I am trying to use the content formatting macros bundled in with Confluence Cloud and must be missing something to get these macros enabled.  Followed example in: http://www.adaptavist.com/doco/display/CFP/table+Macro but all I get is plain text.

  1. Do I need to enable these macros for the confluence page first?
  2. Are there examples showing the syntax for rending the formatted content?

I pasted this example into my page

{table:border=1}
{tr}
{td}cell 1{td}
{td}cell 2{td}
{tr}
{table}
but don't see a table displayed, just get the plain text as entered ... when I try to type the {table} macros does not show up as one in the available macro list.  I've confirmed the plugin is enabled.
Thanks for any help.

Hi William,

I believe your Confluence version 4 or higher. You can use Confluence Editor for adding tables to the page.

You can refer Working with Table in confluence.

If for some reason you still want to use old formatting then Go to Insert Link --> click on Wiki Markup and copy paste your content inside Wiki Markup otherwise it will just display as plain text.
