Hello
We are just trying out Confluence in our organization and what I have realized is 'Recently updated Content' comes out to be empty all the time.
Screenshot below shows empty recently updated content
When I click on edit as per screenshot below, I have right space point and have also enabled "show all updates" but still no luck?
Wondering what is going on wrong with us?
Any leads will be very much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Ameya Agashe
Hi Ameya,
Thank you for raising this issue. In my testing, I found that if I remove the project linker, then the macros work again:
Can you try that and let me know if it works?
Our developers found this may be related to the indexing language, for example:
Can you confirm what indexing language your site is using?
Thank you,

Wonderful! That works. However, it would also be nice to get it working with Jira tracker.
I am happy with this for now as associating Jira tracker is not a priority at the moment.

Removing the project-linker also worked for me.
I am using "English" for indexing language.

Hi @Ameya Agashe and @Kristian Noergaard
Thank you both for confirming, and sharing your indexing language. We escalated this further to the developers and they're working on the main issue; I expect this should be fixed in the coming week.
I'll follow up here when I confirm it's working again.
Take care,

Hello @Ameya Agashe
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
I notice that the name on the page you showed says "ITOP" while the space selected in the macro says "ITOPS". Are those the same space?
Can you confirm that some page in the space has been updated and published recently?

yes , 100% they are. Infact there are 10 pages updated but none of them reflected.

So far I have not been able to replicate your issue in my Confluence environment on a Free subscription.
Do all users experience the same issue?
Have you tried a different browser app or a private browser window?
Have you tried deleting the macro, publishing the page, then editing the page and re-adding the macro?

Hi Trudy,
Yes I already did that but still no luck. Perhaps because we do not have "Users" and all are Space Admins? Could it be because of that? Screenshot below might you an idea of how much content is being updated but nothing is reflected on 'Recently Updated Content'
Please check screenshot below I do not see any "Users' is it because of that?

The problem is not because you are all Space Admins.
The tags on your post indicate you are using a Free subscription. Is that accurate? I am also using a Free subscription and have not been able to replicate the problem.
The Filter by user field will show selectable users if you start to type in user names. I have that field empty in my use of the macro and I'm getting accurate data in the Recently Updated macro.
Have you tried adding the same macro to a different page in the Space? Have you tried the macro in a completely separate Space?

I am baffled. Yes, If I use the same macro anywhere else, it works not on just this page!
What am I doing wrong here?

Yes, we are on Free Subscription, but idea is to showcase what our Team can create content and then rollout organization wide.

Basically all users are not able to see Recently updated content on Home page of our space

I have what seems to be the exact same issue. The recently updated list is empty when placing the macro on the space landing page.
However if I put it on any other page in the page tree, it works.

I don't see anything for this in the publicly viewable backlog:
I have not been able to replicate this in my environment where I have added the Recent Updates macro to the landing page of several spaces.
I am flagging this Question to raise it to the attention of the Atlassian team.

I am able to replicate the issue. I created a new space called as AMA.
I then created a page and it was not visible in 'Recently Updated Content'.
I further updated the page but again not visible on "Recently Updated Content"
To be honest, not happy at all. As this reduced team's visibility and collaboration.
I am going to try Notion or Slite.
Dump this 'Free Tial. Not good if basic features are not working.

I have now been able to recreate the problem also by creating a new Space using the Collaboration template.
If I created a new space using the Knowledge or Custom templates, then the problem did not occur.
All the testing I did previously was with pre-existing Spaces.
