Hello Community,

I'm currently working on setting up Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track site searches in my Confluence space. While I've successfully implemented the tracking code and can see events in GA4, I'm encountering an issue where I can't seem to view the search terms in my reports.

I've inserted the gtag.js using the HTML macro to every page. Using the same HTML macro, I've also added a basic tracking code to capture search queries from my Confluence site search form and send them to GA4.

I'm reaching out to the community to seek guidance on resolving this issue. I'd greatly appreciate any insights, tips, or troubleshooting steps you can provide to help me ensure that the search terms are correctly captured and displayed in my GA4 reports.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Hi @Teresa La

I'm not an expert here as my experience with Confluence and GA4 comes on the Cloud side. We have an app for Cloud that helps integrate Google Analytics and Confluence, and what we do to track searches is create the attached custom dimensions and obviously have activated the site search enhanced measurement.

Hopefully it helps you!
