My Confluence has been working perfectly till i rebooted the server.

Now confluence reports that its started ok, but i dont see port 8080 listening.

After doing some digging  tomcat seems to be stopping at this point:

23-May-2018 16:11:34.435 INFO [localhost-startStop-2] org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.method.annotation.RequestMappingHandlerMapping.register Mapped "{[/reload],methods=[PUT]}" onto public org.springframework.http.ResponseEntity com.atlassian.synchrony.proxy.web.SynchronyProxyRestController.reloadConfiguration(com.atlassian.synchrony.proxy.web.SynchronyProxyConfigPayload)

its sits like that and never starts.

Ive checked permissions, they all seem good.

Anything else i can check?

Hi @Stephen Nuthall,

Have you installed Confluence using Custom installation or Express installation?

Can you please check typing this cmd on the terminal and see if the Confluence was started or not.

ps -aux | grep java or ps -ef | grep Confluence

If the Confluence was started then it should show you the Installation path with the ID.
