Is there a way to show a Table of Contents only within a section?
I've trying using the minimum and maximum header levels settings with the Table of Contents macro, but even if making the minimum header level 2 it still shows all the 2 headers from throughout the entire page.

Use the "Table of Contents Zone" macro for that section. The macro must contain all the content of that section. Then configure it like the normal TOC macro.
(And configure to only show the TOC at the top of the section - defaults to top & bottom for me, which looks weird)
yes this would be a great feature . i just want all the pages in the appendix to be listed

This is a bit tough. Your only option with this macro is to write regex in the include/exclude fields to filter out the other headings.
If there is a way to make the headings you want to appear have a common string, it will make your life easier.
Or you need to write your own ToC macro that only works on the included macro body, but that will restrict where you can place the ToC.
