Table of Contents Macro

Each time I add the Table of contents macro, it automatically adds a bullet to the first line of the Table of contents.. I do not see where a specific heading is adding this bullet, its blank, with just the bullet, no heading to select,  as you see below in the preview,. The first bullet is blank, then it shows my headings that are in the document, I have no idea where this is coming from... I can not edit it at all.

this is probably because the macro is set to the H2 level : it should actually be set to "Paragraph" :
