Synchronizing Confluence Cloud with Jira Server

Hi everyone,

is it possible to create a new instance of Confluence in the cloud environment, to synchronise with a pre-existing instance of the Jira server? The latter will be migrated to the cloud at a later date.

Thanks in advance to all

Hello all,

Jumping in to add an update to this thread to make sure the information on what's available gets included.

Details on how to Integrate Confluence Cloud with Jira Server and the capabilities of the integration are covered in the following documentation:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/integrate-confluence-cloud-with-jira-server-1101925671.html

and in summary the functions that are and are not possible covered in the documentation are:

In summary

Application links

(tick) Displaying issues on pages (single issues, list of issues based on filter, issue count) Show

(tick) Linking issues to pages Show

(tick) Creating issues from Confluence Show

(tick) Displaying issue and project information using charts Show

I think you should elaborate your use case to get more help.

What do you precisely mean by "synchronising" a Confluence Cloud instance with a Jira Server instance?

Thanks for the advice. I would like to know if it is possible to make it possible for a jira server instance to receive notifications of links saved in a confluence space in the cloud. Can having instances on different hosts be a limitation to using the two applications in an integrated way?

Thanks for this question. I have the same exact requirement. JIRA is hosted in house and trying Confluence Cloud. Can we integrate? so that JIRA issues can be shown on pages.
