Strange accounts as Administrators in Space

Andreas Jeromin November 21, 2024

Hi,

in Confluence Cloud I noticed that there are a lot of strange accounts that have administrative privileges in my space. Some of these accounts are:

  • "Table Filter and Charts for Confluence"
  • NumberedH
  • "Adaptavist Script Runner for Confluence Cloud"
  • "Comala Document Management"
  • etc.

I assume that these accounts are connected with some apps/tools that had been enabled, but I wonder what these accounts are and why they have to be administrators in my space.

Can anyone explain to me what these accounts are good for? Are they secure?

Thank you very much.

As you stated, these accounts are associated to apps that you have installed and are used so that the app can perform their functions. When the vendor creates the apps they pick the permissions that are needed in a space, so you would have ask the app vendor why they would need to be space admin.

@Andreas Jeromin Just to add... apps-users accounts are not counted towards your paid seats.
