Standard statuses in templates?

Hi All,

I want to have templates start in a standard status similar to a regular page configuration. However, the upper hover over menu where you can configure statuses when you are editing a standard page doesn't appear when you are editing a template. I dont want to use the macro. Is this possible?

I don't believe this is possible at the moment.

I've tried checking JAC for open suggestions, but couldn't find a feature request related to this. Although, I would recommend scanning it yourself as I might have maybe missed it.

If there's no open one, you could reach out to Atlassian Support and they can make additional checks. Also, they could open a new suggestion based on your requirements (if they do, please share the link here).
