Hi, we have JIRA and Confluence running on separate servers with identical mid-range specs.
For JIRA, installation and upgrading of plugins takes at most 2-3 minutes per plugin.
Comparatively, on Confluence installation is fast but uninstalling and upgrading takes at least 20 minutes per plugin.
Is it the experience of others that Confluence is much slower to manage plugins?
This was caused by bug in the Shaerpoint Connector plugin resulting in a locked process: https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/CSI-970
It has now been rectified by Atlassian.
That is not what my expirence is. Our confluence install is running on a vm with 2 cpus and 2gb of ram assigned to it. It take approx. the same time to install as remove on mour install but, some do take a bit longer. Watch the task manager/top durring an un-install might tell you if it is using up all the system resources or not.

Thanks Jason. The specs we use are virtually the same as yours. The Tomcat process seems to chug along at 50% while the plugin maintenance is happening. I'll log a support call with Atlassian.
